I am a lifelong resident of the Detroit area.  I hold a Bachelor's degree and a Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University.  I've lived for many years with my family in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, northeast of Detroit, and recently moved to nearby Troy, Michigan.

The Devil's Own Rag Doll, a noirish hard-boiled detective story, is my first published novel.  The book is set in 1943 and was inspired by episodes and personalities from Detroit's turbulent history.

I am at work on a second novel featuring Pete Caudill, the protagonist of Rag Doll.  This book is tentatively scheduled for publication in October 2006.
